Race Report: Kirchheim

Great Atmosphere and Strong Performances at the Kirchheimer Radsportnacht

Over the weekend, Felix and Nico lined up — almost a tradition by now — at the Kirchheim Cycling Night. On the start list were some big names, including Giacomo Nizzolo, Jonas Koch, Jannik Steimle, and the newly crowned Italian champion Filippo Conca, as well as many other well-known riders.

From the very start, the race was fast and furious, with gaps quickly opening up on the technical course through Kirchheim’s city center. In his very first criterium, Felix initially held his own well in the peloton before eventually having to let go of the pace. Cheered on loudly by the many enthusiastic spectators, he kept turning the pedals and finished his laps behind the main group. Nico, meanwhile, had a good day and even took the lead in the field several times. He managed to stay with the main group all the way to the finish and crossed the line in 18th place after the sprint.

Once again, the atmosphere in Kirchheim’s old town was fantastic, with plenty of familiar faces and an enthusiastic crowd. This is what makes racing so much fun!
