UCI points in Windhaag
On Saturday, Martin lined up at the start of the C1 race in Windhaag, part of the Austrian MTB League.
After a strong start, he was able to position himself within the top 15 and quickly found his rhythm on the steep and demanding course. Despite the evening start time, the temperatures remained high, making hydration and cooling an immediate priority from the very first lap. Martin paced himself well and managed to gain several positions over the first three laps. He spent the following laps just outside the top 10, riding consistently and staying in contention.
In the penultimate lap, he successfully bridged the gap to the lead group and shortly after moved up into 9th place. On the next climb, he launched a decisive attack, opened a gap, and held onto the position through the final lap.
Martin finished in a strong 9th place, securing another 12 valuable UCI points – a solid result on a tough course in challenging conditions.
