Top 10 finish in Usti nad Labem marks a promising season start.
We also had strong representation in the Czech Republic this weekend, where Martin lined up for the UCI C2 Cross Country race in Usti nad Labem.
Right off the start, Martin was held up by a crash in front of him, which cost him several positions. The first two laps were all about making up ground and fighting his way back through the field. After this intense start, Martin found a solid rhythm in a group of three riders and was able to settle into the race.
In the penultimate lap, he launched a successful attack, broke away from the group, and crossed the line in a strong 10th place in the elite category. This result also earned him his first UCI point of the season – a great way to kick off the international racing calendar!
