Race Report: Super Giro Dolomiti

Super Giro Dolomiti – A True Classic and Strong Performances by Our Athletes

The Super Giro Dolomiti is without a doubt one of the most iconic and demanding events in the cycling marathon scene – and this year, Philip and Nico proudly represented our team on the starting line. They both took on the massive challenge of 230 kilometers and 5,000 meters of elevation gain.

Right from the first climb, Philip showed he meant business by making it into the elite six-man lead group, which included all the top favorites. At the heart of the race awaited the infamous Monte Zoncolan, a climb that lived up to its reputation and played a decisive role in the race’s outcome. Philip crested the Zoncolan in second place, but the massive effort took its toll toward the end of the race. He still managed to cross the finish line together with the fourth-placed rider – an impressive result at this level of competition.

Nico also had a strong start, positioning himself well near the front of the field in the early stages. As the race wore on, however, the extreme demands began to take their toll, and he had to dig deep to push through to the finish. His ride served as a tough but valuable test ahead of his main goal: the Ötztaler Radmarathon.
