Martin Secures Top 10 Finish at C2 Race in Stribro
On Saturday, Martin lined up for the UCI C2 race in Stribro. The start proved challenging as his legs didn’t feel great, and he lost a few positions early on. However, he gradually found his rhythm and began working his way back through the field.
By the third lap, Martin had bridged up to a group fighting for 9th place. After a surge in pace, the group split, and he continued in a two-man chase. In the penultimate lap, he managed to latch onto a rider coming from behind. The duo pushed the pace and successfully broke away from the chasers, moving up from 11th place and securing a spot in the top 10.
In the final lap, the earlier efforts began to take their toll. Martin had to let his companion go but held on strongly to claim a solid 10th place finish – and with it, another valuable UCI point.
